“Profitable ministry among women is grounded in God’s Word, grows in the context of God’s people, and aims for the glory of Christ.”
— Gloria Furman & Kathleen Neilson

Ways to Pray for Glimpse

  • That this ministry would glorify the Lord

  • That we would grow in our relationships with Christ and one another

  • That we would meet the spiritual and physical needs of one another through genuine Christ-centered community

  • That the atmosphere of the women's ministry would attract other women to the gospel of Christ

Grace Based Families

Karis Murray and Michelle Broek believe that no one should parent children alone. And even more, that we should all parent with grace. The podcast is a conversation between two moms in the think of pearenting children, leaning into God’s grace as they try to extend his grace to their children. From Family Matters Ministry.

GLIMPSE Team 2023-24 Testimonies

Mandy Hinkle. I am a child of God and am immensely blessed with a devoted husband, Colton, and my loving and energetic boys, Calvin and Isaac. I’m an educated COTA/L but am currently enjoying homemaking while raising my boys. I became a believer at a young age, but through life experiences God has taught me to love more deeply and appreciate His grace in my life. I have passion for the women of GBCM and desire to see a genuine community of ladies seeking to bring the Lord glory and enjoy him forever.

Leslie Schmucker. I retired from public school teaching to create a special needs program at Dayspring Christian Academy in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. I am the author of Broken Children, Sovereign God: Rejoicing in God’s Goodness Amidst Childhood Mental Health Struggles (Christian Focus, 2023). My husband, Steve, and I have three grown children and eight grandchildren.

Carlyn Darby. I am wife to Steve, mother to four adult children, and Granny to four grandchildren.  I delight in the Word of God; I am mesmerized by God's creativity in nature; and I am in awe of his daily provision of all things pertaining to life and godliness. I putter about in gardens, poke about at yard sales, browse about at Ocean State Job Lot, and walk about trails and parks for exercise and inspiration. I often lift my voice in song, practicing for that day when I shall sing the new song in the company of countless brothers and sisters around the Throne of our Redeemer King, Jesus. I look forward to growing in grace with the women at GBCM.

Carolyn Nelson. I have been attending Grace since 2019. My husband, Ryan, and I have been married since 2019 and live in Mount Joy. I love flowers, gardening, cooking, all things health and wellness, and going on long walks! I have been following Christ since age 12 and am so blessed to have been born to Christian parents. I love my church family, and I'm excited to serve the women of Grace on the GLIMPSE team!

Kristy Brubaker. I grew up in a strong Christian family, both immediate and extended.  My parents built a strong foundation to my faith while summer Christan camp helped further solidify my faith as my own.   When I was 18, I lost my mother in a car accident.  My foundation rattled; I tried to punish God for taking my mom by withholding my love somehow. Laughably so because God is my father; I am a child of God. He will never stray from me even when I stray from Him. Now that I am a mom myself, I'm finding my faith to be a daily conversation with my children. I get to lay the foundation of their faith while daily refining and perfecting my own faith. Faith is not a one-time event. It is a journey we are called to daily work on.
